People ask me why I chose the media with which I work. There are many reasons. I love the tactileness of holding my fabric as I stitch - either by hand or machine. I like the “women's work” heritage of using cloth and thread. I like the way photography keeps my eye focused on the world around me (pun intended!). In many ways, I have found a way to combine sculpture, painting, collage, and stitching into one medium.

"Morning Treasure":
I finished this piece for a show entitled "Little Black Dress". It was held at the Brush Gallery in Lowell MA, and I am please to say that this piece was awarded 'Best in Show'. It is hard to see details on the internet, so I have created this gallery to give you an idea of what goes into a piece and also so you can see some of the details up close! Hope you enjoy this, and if you have further questions or comments just let me know!
