Each February a group of us go to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a week (if you want to know more about who or why Click Here). One of the reasons we moved to Virginia ten years ago was so I could be closer to the ocean. I am no beach babe, but I love the water at any time of year. Each wave is a new creation. The shadows and sunlight are ever-changing. The sand is a canvas for art by the wind and water. The shells are intricate and varied and only get better with the breaking and tumbling they do on their way to the beach. Of course, this leads to hours of photography at all times of day.
