TEXTURES 'R' US

Surface textures with flat embossed coils and big crunchy bits!
This double-walled vessel seems to defy gravity!
So many surface techniques used on this one!
loving the alligator skin effect made with net fabric
Here are four of the newest out of the kilns!   I am having so much fun exploring textures... just like I do with fiber!! I am also loving the contrast of a strong colored interior with the earth-tones of unglazed, or minor glaze on the outside.  Clay is from the earth and an ancient art, so I like to celebrate that with the look of "ancient diggings". Ceramics

A couple years ago I stuck my artistic toes into the waters of Ceramics. I hadn't touched clay since high school, and had forgotten how wonderful it is. So here I am; at a new medium!
